Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Thompson manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions. Dr. Thompson practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with particular emphasis in wisdom tooth removal with IV sedation, surgical extractions, and dental implant surgery. Our services also include bone grafting techniques; and diagnosis/treatment of oral pathology with biopsy and excision of oral lesions. We are here to treat you in the way that we would be want to be treated ourselves. We are here to make you comfortable and to take good care of you. Our surgical staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during surgery with EKG, blood pressure, end tidal CO2, and pulse oximetry. We have leading edge digital x-ray equipment for accurate, expert diagnosis.
Surgical Staff
Dr. Thompson’s surgical staff is composed of experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in the administration of IV sedation and surgery. All staff members are certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by the American Heart Association. Dr. Thompson is a certified CPR Instructor of the American Heart Association and is also certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support by the American Heart Association.
